100 Yard Remote Trainer-How to Charge Remote and Collar

Charge Time and Battery Life

  • Before you use the system for the first time, fully charge the collar and remote. This initial charge can take up to 5 hours.
  • The collar and remote each take about 2-3 hours to fully charge.
  • Each charge can last up to 40 hours, depending on use.

Get the Most Life from Your Batteries

  • Power the collar off between uses to extend battery life.
  • Only charge your collar or remote when the batteries are low. Excessive charging can shorten the battery life. They do not have to be charged at the same time.
  • Low batteries are indicated by the following:
    • Collar: While powered on, the collar will flash a red light once every 5 seconds.
    • Remote: While the screen is displayed, the battery icon at the bottom of the screen will have one or no bars filled.
  • When storing the system for long periods, recharge every 4-6 weeks even if you do not intend to use it. This will keep the batteries active. Batteries that remain inactive for long periods will begin to deteriorate.

Note: The remote does not power off but will shut off the display and go into a battery saving sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Lift the rubber covers protecting the charging ports on the remote and collar.

Plug the charging cable into a USB outlet or USB wall adaptor, such as the plug for your cell phone charger. The light on the collar will glow solid green and the battery icon on the remote display will cycle to indicate it is charging.

Insert the charging connector in the port on the collar and remote. The connector has two fins that should be aligned with the slots on the charging port before inserting.

Unplug the charging connector when the collar and remote indicate they are fully charged. The collar light will shut off and the battery icon on the remote display will be full.

Replace the rubber cover over the charging ports on both collar and remote after recharging. These rubber covers help keep the charging port free of dust, mud, and dirt. However, without the rubber covers, your system will still be waterproof.
